TDD missions are high intensity\u00a0&#x1f525;\u00a0and must deliver impact in a limited timeframe.\u00a0&#x23f3;\u00a0There is no room for distraction.<\/p>\n<p>So where to focus? As always in IT there is no binary answer, it depends.\u00a0&#x1f642;<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, we do know <strong>what it depends on<\/strong> and where to find the <strong>guiding principles<\/strong> for our analysis of people, processes, and technology. Here are some of them:<\/p>\n<p>&#x1f3af; First of all we have the <strong>investment thesis<\/strong> that provides the future expectations of the investor on the business (e.g. 10x increase in number of clients)<\/p>\n<p>&#x1f680; Next up are the key <strong>growth initiatives<\/strong> of the target company (e.g. Secret Project X)<\/p>\n<p>&#x2696;&#xfe0f; Then there are the <strong>specifics of the industry<\/strong> (e.g. compliance)<\/p>\n<p>With this input we have the business context to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>assess the initial holistic scan of team, strategy, architecture, security, AI, technical debt, operations, innovation, IP, etc., etc.<\/li>\n<li>determine which deep dives are most important<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In other words, it gives us the <strong>focus<\/strong> we need to avoid rabbit holes and to deliver the clarity and insight the investors need &#x1f31f;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In Technology Due Diligence (TDD) focus is crucial.
